BANGOR TWP, MI — Police have raided a Bay County business accused of illegally selling marijuana.
On Thursday, Sept. 3, the Michigan State Police’s Marijuana and Tobacco Investigation Section executed a search warrant on Deeply Content, 808 N. Euclid Ave. in Bangor Township. Police allege the business was selling marijuana without a state facility license as required under Michigan’s Medical Marihuana Facilities Licensing Act of 2016 and the Taxation of Marihuana Act of 2018.
Logs from the Bay County Jail indicate police arrested the business’ owner. His name is being withheld pending arraignment, which could occur Friday, Sept. 4.
Deeply Content’s website states it sells “premium cannabis smoking supplies and apparel.”
Troopers said they “will continue to conduct investigations and actively pursue criminal charges throughout Michigan, against businesses and individuals who continue to cultivate, manufacture and distribute unlicensed and black market marijuana and marijuana infused products.”
