News Highlights: Business owner shares experience with autism and medical cannabis | Community
Mental health is now more than ever in the spotlight. As COVID continues to make it difficult to socialize and disrupt our normal lives, it is taking one of the worst blows in all of this. This is especially true for children and adults on the autism spectrum, who would find this disturbance very difficult to deal with. A local restaurateur in Watertown decided to document his own son’s experience with autism, the pandemic and how medical cannabis made his life a little better.
“Dante, my son, has been through a lot in 2020, between routine changes and everything else,” said Mario Cortolezzis, owner of Mario’s Italian Kitchen and Southfork BBQ in Watertown. “In September, we started making videos on TikTok to see if there were any parents struggling with the same things as us.”
