Consume Cannabis Co. to celebrate grand opening in Lapeer with recreational and medicinal products

LAPEER, MI — A dispensary with locations scattered throughout the Midwest is expanding its business with a new location set open this weekend in Lapeer.

Consume Cannabis Co. is hosting a grand opening for its newest location, Consume Lapeer, at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 25 at 2401 West Genesee St. in Lapeer.

The newest location will serve medical and recreational purchasers for those age 21 and up in eastern Michigan, according to a Consume Cannabis Co. news release.

To celebrate the grand opening, Consume Lapeer will have vendor popups with some Michigan cultivators, as well as a hot dog cart from noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday.

Medical and recreational purchasers can also get $10 off a purchase of $150 or $20 off of a purchase of $250 or greater.

Consume Lapeer will carry flower, edibles, concentrates, topicals, tinctures, and vapes from a variety of Michigan cultivators.

In addition, the dispensary will also carry smoking accessories, vaporizers, batteries, and Consume branded merchandise, Zoe Leduc, digital marketing manager for Consume, told MLive-The Flint Journal in an email.

“The city of Lapeer and the Lapeer Chamber of Commerce have been very supportive of the Michigan cannabis industry, which made Lapeer feel like the right place for a new Consume dispensary,” Leduc said in response to the interest to expand the business to the Lapeer area. “Consume Cannabis Co. chose Lapeer to provide a better cannabis experience to the adult use and medical purchasers in eastern Michigan. We pride ourselves on education, quality, and teamwork to succeed in achieving that purpose.”

Hours of operation for Consume Lapeer are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sundays.

Consume also has other locations throughout Michigan, including Bay City, Alma, Harrisville, Ionia and Quincy and others located in Illinois.
