WOW Vape and CBD to open doors on Ulverston high street after ‘outgrowing’ current space

A RETAILER is set to open on the high street after ‘outgrowing’ its current premises thanks to high customer demand.

WOW Vape and Snacks has set its sights on a unit in Ulverston’s Market Street after seeing ‘phenomenal growth’ since launching the chain nearly two years ago.

The business was originally set up by Gary Peaker and Steve Smith and was later joined by Steve Kennedy who currently manages all three stores in Dalton, Millom and Ulverston.

Mr Kennedy has revealed plans to relocate the current Ulverston vape shop in King Street to the former Helen Gee hairdressing unit in Market Street.

The move will also mean two more staff members will be hired to work in the new unit.

Mr Kennedy said: “The business is doing well and has outgrown the site on King Street. We’re looking to replicate the business we have in Dalton which has been really successful.

“It doesn’t just sell E-cigarettes there, but drinks, snacks, sweets from all over the world which are really popular.

“Hopefully we get the same level of customer support in Ulverston that we get in Dalton.

“It really has gone from strength to strength since we first opened our doors.

“Demand has really grown. We have more and more customers coming in through the doors.

“The new store will be three times the size which will allow us to carry a much wider range of stock and hire more staff.”

Mr Kennedy also shared plans to open two more stores next year in Barrow and the Lake District.

“Hopefully we can help the Barrow town centre by opening a new shop there too,” he said.

“We have a lot of customers who come in from Barrow and thought it was time to open a new store there.”

The Market Street shop will be swinging open its doors on November 1.
