The Ohio Medical Marijuana Control Program has issued a voluntary recall of one of its products sold to dispensaries.
The product impacted is called Tangie Power plant material for vaporization. It was sold by Green Investment Partners.
The product was sold as far back as Nov. 29 to dispensaries including Sunnyside Cincinnati, Sunnyside Newark, Sunnyside Wintersville, Sunnyside Marion, Verdant Creations Columbus, Ethos Ohio (formerly About Wellness Ohio) Lebanon and Pure Ohio Wellness Dayton.
No adverse reactions to the product have been reported. Those who purchased the product are asked to stop using it and return it to the dispensary where they bought it from.
The MMCP said certain batches of the medical marijuana plant material did not pass all state-required laboratory testing prior to distribution and sale to patients. Specifically, the recalled product does not meet state testing requirements for total yeast and mold.
The MMCP said it’s investigating and will issue a summary after it’s completed.
