BEIJING (AP) — Asian stock markets followed Wall Street higher on Thursday on hopes U.S. political leaders can reach agreement to avoid a potentially disastrous default on government debt.
Shanghai, Tokyo, Hong Kong and Sydney advanced. Oil prices edged lower.
