State Minister of Tourism Diana Gamage said that discussions are underway to initiate a pilot project to cultivate marijuana in Sri Lanka.
“We already have eleven foreign investors ready to invest in the project. It will go forward as a Board of Investment (BoI) project and according to our current estimates, the project should bring us revenue worth of US$ 4-5 billion a year,” the State Minister said.
