East Contra Costa County’s first cannabis dispensary has opened in Antioch.
Delta Dispensary opened its doors on Dec. 20 in a northwest industrial park at 2101 W. 10th St.
Owned by Rick Hoke of Brentwood and family members, Delta Dispensary is the only local family-owned cannabis dispensary in East Contra Costa County. Three other applications were approved, and one, Contra Costa Farms, opened last week in the other cannabis overlay district zoned for such operations on the city’s eastern end.
“All of our hard work has finally paid off,” family member Robert Page said of Delta Dispensary and its 2,500-square-foot shop.
In addition to marijuana and cannabis products, the dispensary plans to sell vape pens, vape pen cartridges, vape pen batteries, and chargers for cannabis concentrates.
“It fills this void — a big void — that is now being filled by a family-owned business in Contra Costa.”
Delta Cannabis plans to sell cannabis products on-site as well as make deliveries. Only customers with valid IDs can buy cannabis at the site.
Delta Dispensary plans its grand opening from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.
